What is a toolkit?

Toolkits are a set of comprehensive templates and tools to help you comply with a standard, framework or regulation. They are designed to help you save months of time, effort and money spent on writing the policies and procedures required to achieve compliance and, if applicable, certification.

Written by industry experts, ITGP’s market-leading toolkits cover a wide range of subjects, including the EU’s GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), ISO 27001, the PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) and many more.

Our templates are in Word or Excel format*, making them easy to use and customise to suit your business needs.

Why choose build your own toolkit?

Toolkits are a cost-effective solution if you are working on a project to implement best practice and achieve certification. But we understand that there may be times when you would prefer choosing your own set of documents over using the complete toolkit. Build your own Toolkit enables you to:

  • Select just the policies and procedures needed for your project – ideal for when you are working on a smaller project requiring just a subset of documents, or when you need to quickly and easily implement specific policies and procedures for your organisation;
  • Combine documents from different toolkits to create a personalised toolkit that matches the requirements of your project and/or organisation; and
  • Save money by only buying the documents you need. If it is better value for you to order the complete toolkit, we will let you know.

Things to know about build your own toolkit

  • Maximum and minimum orders: There is no minimum order requirement, so you can choose whatever number of templates you need. There is no maximum either, but we will let you know if we believe it is better value for you to purchase the full toolkit – we want you to get the best deal.

  • Prices: All prices are based on the number of templates you need. For more

  • Timeline: We aim to send you your personalised toolkit within five working days.

  • What’s included: All of our records, policies and procedures are included in this service. Many of our tools are also available, but some might not be relevant outside the full toolkit. We will advise you of this if these are requested.

  • Support: This service comes with 12 months’ drafting support, including assistance setting up, customising and using the templates. It does not include consultancy support.

  • Refunds: As documentation toolkits cannot be physically returned, we are unable to offer refunds. Please check that your chosen format is suitable before completing your purchase.

Additional build your own toolkit services

  • Macros: In our regular toolkits, this is our automation service that populates the documents with common information such as company name, logo and job roles. This service is available for free when you purchase 15 or more templates. It can be purchased for £5 if you are purchasing fewer. Please note that this service is not available for Mac users.

  • Contents list: For an extra £15, we will create a personalised contents list with hyperlinks to all your documents.
